Y&R's Yani Gellman was in Degrassi Goes Hollywood!

When I was about to watch the movie from the beginning, I noticed that Y&R's Yani Gellman (Rafe) had a cameo appearance in the movie! Want to see it for your self?

At 0:45 see Gellman's two seconds (literally) of Degrassi fame. Well, at least he's shirtless since he's probably going to be clothed during his Genoa City time.
Yani was born in the U.S. but his father was Canadian if that may be the reason he was in the movie??
Well anyway, hooray for me feeling important in noticing this! LOL.
As for the movie, It was what I expected, which wasn't spectacular. What happened to the series core Emma? Ugh....

Wow, It's Almost time for the Degrassi TV Movie!

Back atcha' with Primetime Splash!

I'm sorta-kinda looking forward to this new movie. Definitely not because of the singing that they are about to put us through the whole flick. But mostly because we're going back to the core of the show with the longtime characters. Sooner or later maybe they'll figure out we want more Emma not all these no-name seniors, and how crazy they were to not even keep now, rap superstar Drake even on recurring, but hey who would stay? But in saying that the the longtimers are pushed to the forefront in the Degrassi movie, it's still zooms in on focus on Manny (Cassie Steele) and Paige (Lauren Collins), who mind you is on recurring status, and also her longtime stars who are also on recurring, Ellie (Stacey Farber), Marco (Adamo Ruggerio), Jay (Mike Lobel) and Craig (Jake Epstein) appear. Also making statements in the film at the Studz band longtime star Spinner (Shane Kippel), mediocre semi-longtime star Peter (Jamie Johnston) and people I could see less time of, technically semi-longtime star Danny van Zandt (Dalmar Abulzeid), who they write horribly for, and who I could see alot less of Sav (Raymond Ablack). So these are the main focuses of the movie. Dissappointing as I was hoping for a real, well-rounded movie, but we don't get that in Degrassi-land..er Degrassi-wood.

Well, the plot is Manny tanks a big audition, which Paige gets. Ellie and Marco go to support her, but soon see she's a diva! Ellie reunites with Craig. Manny, Jay and the Studz band go on a road-trip to L.A. as Manny wants her role back!

Rocker Pete Wentz and Vivica A. Fox (ex-Stephanie, Y&R) appear in the movie. Also Kevin Smith, Perez Hilton, Cassadee Pope, guest appear.

Today's episode was a shocker. Well you know THE N basically gives away the episode in the promos. But you know how this go on teen dramas, such as Degrassi. But in order to explain that, I'll start with the beginning. Blue wants Holly J to go with the winter dance with him, and asks her in a romantic way. She rebuffs it, as she has feelings for her co-worker, who turns out to be Spinner. However she keeps this secret from everyone including Blue and Spinner who is in love with Jane. Spin and Holly close up The Dot, and he agrees to take her home, as the sort of connect a bit. Then an customer comes in wanting a burger. He gets hostile as Holly wants him to leave but Spin says that they can make just one hamburger. When Holly still refuses, the customer pulls out a gun, and wants the money in the cash register and the safe. When getting the money out of the safe, Spin pulls out a bat, but the customer, who is a former Lakehurst student who remember Holly, threatens them more. There is a knock at the door and it is Blue, who still can't understand why Holly won't go with him to the dance. She plays it off as he leaves, but she writes with her finger "gun" on the door and eyes it as Blue sees it. Soon later the police and bystanders slowly show up. Holly and Spin try to compromise with the customer, but he ends up shooting Spinner. At that moment we heard a gun shot, then Spin's face but you know myself, and probably others thought that the shot went through the wall, but Spin's arm was bleeding! Holly then runs to help him, the shooter thinks she's calling someone but she goes to get napkins. The shooter then apologizes and says it was an accident. He pleads that he didn't want this to happen. He begins to talk about how Holly has everything, but she reassures him everything about she's not a cheerleader anymore and how her father lost his job. She also says that she's in love with the idiot who tried to play hero, but he has a girlfriend that he loves. He then agrees to come out with Holly. When the police storm them and Holly tells the police that the shooting was accidental. Holly misses the dance to go see Spinner and Holly tells her he is the only one that understands her and they get along well.
In the other story, Connor and tricks KC and Clare and lock them downstairs together. They mend things between each other and have their first kiss at the winter dance.

Until next time, Primetime Splash!
