OLTL Friday: Starr and Danielle

This new chick on the block -- Kelly Missal has our heads spinnin’ more than Kristen Alderson did when she was a precocious kid! The scenes were great between Starr and Dani, loved Cole’s involvement and the fact that Matthew was the one to bring her there. Just watch to find out! Now if you saw we were mad as fire when Kristen wasn’t even nominated for an Emmy last year, I’m gonna pay homage to White Chicks and WRITE A LETTER if Kelly M. isn’t nominated this year!

Reviewing March 2009: Leading up to Matthew's accident

After Elijah pounded Matty today on the stand, I searched and searched for what happened between him and Cole before the accident and their convo. This was the best I could do, I wish I could have just cut out all of that Starr/Cole/Schulyer mess. So if you want fast forward to 3:36

Sole Lovin' on OLTL

Sometimes I see OLTL's teen group and I find myself wondering am I watching One Tree Hill or Degrassi or something. I hope no one shows this show in an abstinence classroom. Markko (Jason Tam) and Langston (Brittany Underwood) demand to have sex, then Cole (Brandon Buddy) and Starr (Kristen Alderson) hit the sack again! If TPTB think that parents of 17-18 year olds want to see children their age (on screen, that is) doing this activities, they have really bumped their heads. I'm not saying that a one-night-stand between teenagers doesn't make good storyline, but sooner or later I can see the writers having both couples in a full blown love affair! Seems like the show would explain love doesn't equal sex. So we can't get a half a love scene, some skin or something between our same-sex couples, but then it's right to show teenage sex? Come on, I'd much rather see Destiny (Shenell Edmonds) and Matthew (Eddie Alderson) get into a spat with their rivals rather than this, really. This group used to be at the top tier of soap teen posses, but i'd rather see ATWT's Parker and Liberty or heck, even Y&R's Abby arguing with Eden over Noah.

But GH's Spixie lovin' was a funny scene! But WHYY that depressing love theme in the background instead of a hot sultry mambo.

Performers of the Week: Kassie DePaiva and Florencia Lozano (Blair and Tea, OLTL)

As you know, not many Llanview citizens can go up against the suburb's resident bad-boy Todd Manning (Trevor St. John). However, those few include his her heroic and sympathetic sister, Victoria Lord, and his daughter, Starr. However this week, two of Todd's biggest opponents (and also ex-wives), went head to head with each other -- and Todd! After arguing and pulling out tricks on each other at Todd's place, trying to beat each other while hiding their love for the once convicted rapist, they Blair did everything to keep her kids, and Tea pulled the big one by getting leverage over Todd. This is why Florencia Lozano and Kassie DePaiva earn the Soaps-Now! performers of the week award for June 22, 2009. Other key mentions include Christopher Engen, performing at his best before being asked out of his contract at Y&R, Chrishell Stause in the aftermath of her baby's death on AMC, and Tricia Cast, Jess Walton, and Jeanne Cooper for fantastic performances in the Phillip storyline also on Y&R.

Honorable Mentions: Christopher Engen (ex-Adam, Y&R), Brandon Buddy (Cole, OLTL), Stacy Haiduk (MJ/Patty, Y&R), Drew Garrett (Michael, GH), Tricia Cast, Jess Walton, and Jeanne Cooper (Nina, Jill and Kay, Y&R), Chrishell Stause (Amanda, AMC)
