A Death on Y&R?

Another early morning at Y&R! Someone very close to me has died. On the soap that is...

Who is it? My guess it could be anyone, particularly the Newman family.
For me, two thoughts come to mind, there is Summer, currently in a coma. But I read this big, outrageous, seemingly not possible storyline that Nikki would die. One extraordinary rumor I heard was that Adam and MJ join forces and one night, end up taking out a body at the Newman ranch! But however, this is just speculation, and it is kind of outrageous for the show to do this. But however, it has been stated over and over that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) would not die, but the exit would be set to leave viewers on a cliffhanger. If it is Summer, will Nick and Sharon be together for good now? If it is Nikki, is she really dead or does her family just think that? Or maybe its neither Summer or Nikki and someone we haven't expected, or a plot twist we haven't seen. There has still not been any recent news on the MTS situation, and there are no impending exits on the show.

So what will happen????

Y&R Monday Recap: It was On 'N Poppin...Offscreen

Adam's Arc

After telling Rafe he had feelings for him, he then tried to stray away from the topic, blaming it on how messed up he is now. He dramatically tells Rafe to forget about everything and the feelings. However, Rafe pulls him closer and strokes his face. Victor almost walks in on Adam and Rafe before hearing of everything of Summer. Adam and Rafe then consumate (offscreen) and we see Rafe straightens his tie and Adam buttons back three buttons on his shirt. Adam has small talk with Rafe, then Rafe talks to him about Heather, and that the world looks at him a different way, if he's feeling confused. Adam thanks him as he leaves. Adam becomes a nervous wreck, and and immediately calls Heather, telling her that he needs her. Before Heather comes, Adam takes a shower, I'm guessing to brush off the feeling when he was with Rafe. Soon as Heather enters the door, they make love. Adam tells Heather he needs her. She says he knows exactly what to say to make her love him even more. She leaves due to having to work on a case. After he gets dressed, he received a phone call from Rafe. Rafe tells him that he didn't mean anything if he came off detached earlier. He says he has feelings for Adam too!

Cassie's Wish

Everything got off with a quick as Chloe pulled out everything on Billy while Mac was there. Mac is infuriated with Billy and leaves. Billy leaves to go to the bar. Mac comes back to get her phone and Chloe annoys her. She tells him that he knows Billy for who he is, and that Mac only wants to change him -- and thats not love!

Nick arrives at the hospital to learn Summer is in a coma! He is afraid that the same thing is happening that did with Cassie. Phyllis blames herself, she should have did more with the cookies and gotten Summer away from there! They comfort each other. As Sharon looks through the window, they comfort each other and he asks does she want Daniel or Michael to come. Phyllis says she doesn't want them to come to cry or be brave, because she doesn't need that and Summer doesn't need to be there!
Sharon looks in the window occasionaly, and goes back and forth to the prayer altar. When Nick sees her, he tells her about Summer's condition and she begins to cry. Nick asks her about the paternity test results, and tells her nothing that happened with Summer has anything to do with the baby. She lies and tells him that she hasn't opened the results yet, and that it doesn't matter now! This prompts her to go see Jack and Billy who are at the bar. She scares Billy when she says she came to tell the father in person. She then says that the baby girl is Jack's! MJ is frustrated in the corner!
Other Stuff...
Jack and MJ also started to get busy today, but didn't do much. Ashley is upset when she thinks Victor doesn't want her to go see Summer because of her fragileness. Victor goes in MJ's room after he can't contact her on phone. He sees Kitty!

All My Children

Everyone thinks Annie's guilty, except for Stuart. Annie has in her sights to become the 9th Mrs. Adam Chandler. However this won't happen if Erica, Ryan, and now her once ally Kendall, who are all determined to pin Stuart's murder on Annie.
Erica and Ryan get involved! However things happen when Kendall catches her mother at Ryan's in a surprising position! Speaking of Kendall, D.A. North is still trying to pin her for Stuart's murder. Zach is meanwhile trying to get information about North by getting it from his wife, Madison, who has a bit of a gambling problem. But Zendall fans are said to become happy once Ryan seems to be out of the loop this round. Kendall could just use Randi to help her blackmail D.A. North, who is still obsessed with the hooker-turned-Fusion model, and tries to force her to got to D.C. with him. The D.A. and Randi end up in a struggle, and North gets hit over the head..and later dead! Trouble may come when Jesse helps Randi cover the it up, and keep it from Angie and Frankie. Amanda's baby mess is set to come to a head this month, when everyone including David begin to suspect things and Liza's pregnancy. Liza will become Kendall's lawyer, Annie will target another victim, and Marissa is in between Scott and JR.


One Life to Live

Starr and Cole are eager for their big day! However something is set of happen very surprising at the ceremony! How will everyone react to John going undercover in the Llanview drug system to help get Cole out of trouble, and how will it affect the wedding? Rex and Gigi seem to be getting better, but he better tell her he "did it" with Stacey before Sky tells Gigi first! Everyone including Rex, Gigi and Shane will have to team up when Rex's father's crazy nurse steals the blood from Roxy and sits it on Stacey's doorstep. When you thought she was defeated, she has ammunition now, as evryone teams up to defeat her. Things still don't look well in Dorian's attempts to make Langston and Markko stay together, but Viki pops up to save the day! Our favorite triangle Todd/Tea/Blair goes on through the month, and Ms. Cramer McBain doesn't quite like the Tea/Todd pairing. Tea and Blair gear up for a fight when Todd shows up at the wedding with Tea as his date! This month, the much expected history of the romance of Kyle and Fish will finally come up, and yeah Layla and Cristian! What about a three-men and a lady quadrangle? The month is also set to end with weddings when Renee wants a double wedding Charlie/Viki and Clint/Nora, will Bo try one last time, and what will Lindsay do? Meanwhile, Blair and John try to pick up where the left off

General Hospital Month Sneak Peek!

SOAPNet has just posted a page chock fulla GH spoilers, which is sorta kinda unlike them. Especially giving out juicy, but still known information like Dominic (the guy Claudia hired) is really Dante -- Olivia and Sonny's son, originally speculated role to go to Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan, GL) or Jesse Sofer (ex-Will, ATWT). So far, Dominic forced his sister Kristina to help him, got shot, and held Carly and his brothers Michael and Morgan hostage. I'm still holding out hope that Dante will really be a secret FBI agent, I mean something not so mobby, and something not hard-knock coppy. They also say that JoLivia fans won't be happy this July!

Michael's bad behavior doesn't get any better. Old Man Q will have a soft spot for the guy, and you know his parents will spoil him, especially with that new car. However it's going to backfire, according to SOAPnet, and involve people from Carly to Sonny to Claudia to Alexis to Kristina to JERRY JACKS! SoapNet also calls this "HUGE".

As for the "Mayor Mess" because of Spinelli, Robin begins to think that Andrea may be the one behind Brianna's death. But you know this savvy trophy wife has smarts, Which means she'll probalby frame Alexis. Could Alexis be capable of this? Well know know them Casssadines...

SOAPnet also gives big hints to the PC's upcoming Karaoke night - involving everyone. If you dont want to hear all that, just know that it will involve the beginning of real things poppin' for a PC couple.

Rebecca and Nikolas grow closer, which worries Ethan. He threatens to out her to Nikolas, as she begins to follow in Emily's footsteps. She'll move in with the Quartermaines also!

Jason tracks down Anthony to get dirt on Claudia! Kristina gets into trouble with her bad bad boyfriend Kiefer. I don't know who this is but I hope its not that jerk from Jake's. If so Kristina is definitely her mother's daughter (i.e. Jerry Jacks). Are things going to heat up between Nikolas and Liz-Liz? Carly's pregnancy hits a high mark. She'll have to keep check on her BP this month.

Performers of the Week: Kassie DePaiva and Florencia Lozano (Blair and Tea, OLTL)

As you know, not many Llanview citizens can go up against the suburb's resident bad-boy Todd Manning (Trevor St. John). However, those few include his her heroic and sympathetic sister, Victoria Lord, and his daughter, Starr. However this week, two of Todd's biggest opponents (and also ex-wives), went head to head with each other -- and Todd! After arguing and pulling out tricks on each other at Todd's place, trying to beat each other while hiding their love for the once convicted rapist, they Blair did everything to keep her kids, and Tea pulled the big one by getting leverage over Todd. This is why Florencia Lozano and Kassie DePaiva earn the Soaps-Now! performers of the week award for June 22, 2009. Other key mentions include Christopher Engen, performing at his best before being asked out of his contract at Y&R, Chrishell Stause in the aftermath of her baby's death on AMC, and Tricia Cast, Jess Walton, and Jeanne Cooper for fantastic performances in the Phillip storyline also on Y&R.

RECAST ALERT: Patricia Mauceri is out, Saundra Santiago is in!

Daytime Confidential reports that long-time OLTL vet, Patricia Mauceri (Carlotta) has been fired and replaced with Saundra Santiago, who played Carmen on Guiding Light for three years, and the brief role of Isabella Santi on OLTL. Mauceri was reportedly fired to protesting the upcoming gay storyline featuring Kyle (Brett Claywell) and Fish (Scott Evans), in which Carlotta would be a gay-friendly mother. Santiago started taping yesterday.

REPORT: Phillip III = Gay!

As first reported by Daytime Confidential, Tabloid magazine, The Globe reveals why Phillip Chancellor III faked his death - he was gay and could not face Nina or the Chancellors! Lauralee Bell (ex-Christine) had almost revealed it in interviews she's given recently. So you could probably predicts what's coming next - Phillip III's (Thom Bierdz) paring with Rafe (Yani Gellman). This is good storyline for Thom Bierdz which is a positive, but a negative is a bette pairing would have been with John Driscoll (soon-to-be-Phillip IV, Y&R), considering the ages. Thom Bierdz being 47, and Yani Gellman only 23. Also, I can't wait until Rafe/Adam/Heather kicks off into full gear. So this saddens me to see that it may be cut short. So im hoping that the Globe report is just a claim, but we know how tabs seem to be on point. If only a twist would happen - Adam (Michael Muhney) actually falls in love with Rafe, and maybe the P3/Rafe storyline would fall through (especially if Bierdz doesn't extend his six-month contract). Not saying that Rafe/Adam would be an awesome pairing, just making good drama!

GH Friday Recap: Down with you too!

A Mayor Mess
Spinelli tries to discourage the Mac from getting Mayor Floyd in for Brianna's murder, as he may not be the guilty party. However Mac refuses and wants to charge the mayor. Alexis goes to get a warrant to search further. Mac wants statements from Patrick and Robin. Spinelli thinks he is moving too fast, but Mac says he is doing what he needs to do. As a news crew is at PCPD, Mac arrests the mayor, and the mayor says he knows Alexis won't prosecute him - they were lovers! Alexis then sees Kristina who overheard!

Who are You?
Claudia walks in on Kristina and Dominic and Claudia plays as if she doesn't know who he is. Kristina begs her to not tell Sonny she is there and then says she will walk her out and tells Dominic she will "deal with him later". Michael and Sonny get into it downstairs when Sonny doesn't want him to become a part of the mob. Michael thinks that Sonny doesn't want him in because he is brain damaged, and reminds Sonny that he is not his biologically. Sonny has he loves him no matter what, and does not want him to get hurt. However Michael leaves and says he can only have what Sonny wants him to. After seeing that Michael will be in danger at Sonny's Carly decides that her only choice is for Michael to stay with the Quatermaines. She stops by and Edward and Monica are excited, but Tracy isn't thrilled about having a Corinthos in the house. Carly also sets boundaries and wants Michael to be treated right. Meanwhile, Claudia tells Kristina that she will help her, but don't come back again unless Sonny knows. Johnny then helps Claudia by helping Dominic get out of the house.
Johnny thinks he would want to get out of town, but he calls this "the land of opportunity"! Claudia suggests to Sonny to give Michael a surprise. He then gets Michael a convertible, and he is thrilled. Jason shows up to fill Monica on Michael, and Edward asks him would he come home too!

Also...
Lulu takes Ethan to see Elizabeth and Lucky so Ethan can meet his nephews. Lucky insists that he doesn't like they guy and he won't be a part of Cameron and Jake's life. Lulu thinks Ethan is a good guy and their nephews would like him. As Lucky and Elizabeth are talking Jason picks up Jake. They talk about Michael, and Jason tells Lucky to take care of Jake. Lucky says he will and Jason leaves. Elizabeth then tells Lucky that he is angry at Ethan because he won't be angry at her for cheating on him and having Jason's baby!
JoLivia also get it on today. One half of Spixie tries too, but the other doesn't want to.

Tognoni out before finale; GL's Jeffery to Die!

Earlier today, Daytime Confidential reported that Guiding Light's Jeffery O'Neil (Bradley Cole) would die, and no longer appear past July.
Now, TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco reports that Gina Tognoni (Dinah, GL) has not extended her contract to the season's finale! One source is reported to say this was due to her taking a new gig! Y&R Friday Recap: Some Seduction & Patty's Peanuts

Auntie Mary Jane makes everything all right!
Phyllis and Mary Jane work together at Restless Style today. MJ then witnesses Phyllis stopping Summer from eating a snack, because she is allergic to peanuts. However when she sees Jack and the red-head in a convo, MJ decides to push Nick and Phyllis together - by shoving one of the cookies in Summer's mouth! Meanwhile, Nick and Sharon are meeting at the club, anxiously waiting until they can find out the paternity test results. They also meet up with Victor, who is happy for them. Summer passes out from the snack, and Phyliss calls Nick. During this time, Sharon is also about to call Nick, after she goes to an altar for prayer as she opens up the paternity results - Nick's the father!

Adam's Arc Begins
Adam calls to the club to find out information about Mary Jane. But when Victor enters, he hangs up. Victor tells his youngest son that he will be out, and will he be okay by himself. Adam picks up a picture of Hope. He talks about how he never meant for this to happen to Ashley's baby. He just wanted to get back at his father for treating him so badly. He rants on and on about how terrible Victor is, but admits that this evil side of him is his inheritance from his father! Rafe knocks at the door while Adam is looking for a new place to stash Sabrina's dress and the wig. Rafe begins to go through everything, suspecting Adam is the one behind the gaslighting. When Rafe's searching begins to worry Adam, he tries to divert him off the trail. Adam asks Rafe why would he suspects him. As he holds onto Rafe's face, he tells him that he thought they had feelings for one another!
This is will be very good and interesting I think. Muhney is rubbing off on me, but I still think about Chris Engen.

Billy/Mac/Chloe
Billy texts Mac to tell her it is urgent, and she rushes over. However, Billy set her up so they would have a lavish dinner together. She tells him she broke of her engagement. Meanwhile, Chloe is going over to the club for dinner, and has been trying to get in contact with Billy all day. She walks into the room and Billy and Mac are pulling clothes off. After seeing them, Chloe pronounces that today was Billy's big day -- to find out if Delia will have a new sister or brother. Mac assumes that Chloe is pregnant, but Chloe affirms to her that it's Sharon's baby!
Come on people! C&B all the way. I'm close to thinking Rachael Kimsey may have been better as Mac than Clementine Ford. Help Billy Miller!

OLTL Friday Recap: Blackmail, Blackmail

Horrendous Heap of Hurricane Stacey
Gigi finally tells Rex that Stacey is the one behind everything, however it takes a while for it to sink in. Also, Stacey is definitely gloating to Schuyler, saying he is jealous, and even prompting her to say that get with Gigi -- thats the closest he'll be to her! Natalie rips into Roxy, yet she still won't reveal the donor. Natalie and Jared then go to drop the charges against Kyle. While torturing Roxy, Kyle gets a call - the charges were dropped! He picks Roxy up on the ground and celebrates! When he is signing the papers at LPD, Natalie and Jared badger him to tell them the donor's name!

Cole/Starr/Todd/Tea/Blair/Marty

Shaun brings Tea in lunch as he goes on and on about Todd and Blair's relationship, and talks about how hot she is! In response Tea tells Shaun that they need to go on a field trip, and for her to be hot too! Starr and Cole are trying to convince Blair that Todd gives consent for them to be married, until Tea comes in and plays the tape of Todd admitting the truth - he will hurt Cole if he marries Starr! Todd tries to deny it all, and him and Blair are at a stalemate when the consent papers come up. Meanwhile, Marty asks John to help her run away with Cole, but he points out all the flaws in the plan. He comes up with another plan to nail Asher instead of Cole.

After we've been going for months not knowing with John Driscoll (ex-Coop, GL; soon-to-be-Phillip IV, Y&R) will air first, but Soap Opera Digest is reporting that he will first air on July 16. Sean Kanan will first debut as Deacon Sharpe a few days earlier, on July 10.

It's Not Just You! Y&R Sneak Peek

Clip from Monday's episode of Y&R. Rafe calls Adam to tell him that he has feelings for him also, after Friday, Adam improvising with Rafe and telling him that he has feelings for him after Rafe comes into his room, suspecting him to be the gaslighter. They don't give us much, but get a snip of what Rafe will tell Adam on Monday. Get ready for Radam! Lol

Introducing Michael Muhney as Adam Wilson

Today was the day! The day in which the recast around the world would take place. Also arguably, in my opinion the most talked about and perhaps influential recast in daytime history. But that may be an overstatment. Adam 2.0 would become in effect as of June 25, 2009. Anyway, most of us had gotten used to Chris Engen and loved his portrayal of Adam Wilson, and stunned when he quit, for what ever those reasons may be. So my heart papitated when I heard Peter Bergman's voice in the background announcing the cast switch-up. Noticeably, I thought Michael Muhney's voice would be deeper, but when he first said "Ashley" I noticed that it wasn't. I also took in notice that it seems as if Muhney was sort of using Engen's interpretation of Adam in his acting. But don't think i'm not giving Muhney the benefit of the doubt. I was reading Daytime Confidential's comments on the recast today, and like another user said, I agree that Muhney doesn't have that boyish charm and demeanor like Engen, nor can anyone see Victor (Eric Braeden) jack up Muhney like he did Engen. Engen would be face to face with Heather (Vail Bloom) and Victor, but now he towers over both of them. But on a positive note, Muhney's version of Adam seems more sympathetic, and looks like the audience will sympathize with him, unlike the sarcasim and love-to-hate attitude Engen had (which we loved!). And Re-Re and Paul had the guy take off his shirt the first day on the job! He's not beating him but Muhney is sure competing with Engen in the looks department, being packed himself. I think Muhney put all he had in today's episode, and I like him, but at the end I was still being left grieving over the abrupt exit of Christopher Engen. So in the end, I give the recast a B- on it's first day, and Muhney a solid B. However, does that last hint of Friday's episode have you excited or what!?

OLTL Thursday Recap: Spit it out Roxy!

The Horrendous Mess Called "Hurricane Stacy"
Gigi and Sky convinced Natalie and Jared to drop the charges against Kyle, so he would reveal the secret. However, at the same time, Kyle was visiting Roxy asking her to convince Natalie to drop the charges, in exchange for his trust in keeping the secret. However, even thought all of this may seem to improve things, Rex finally gives into Stacey and they do it -- on UltraViolet's bare concrete floor! Natalie confronts Roxy, and she's freaking out, as Stacy is so excited, and blabs to Sky that she and Rex finally did it!

Cole/Starr/Todd/Tea/Blair/Marty
Cole and Starr tell their mothers of their current engagement, at first both Marty and Blair are wary, but soon tell their children to do what is in their best interest. Moment of the day was when Marty took such a great picture of Cole with his daughter Hope! Meanwhile, Blair still can't believe that Todd has given consent for the kids to marry. Todd hires Tea a staff including nurses, Shaun as the bodyguard, and Moe as chef. Tea doesn't want them, but Todd insists. Tea taunts Todd about Starr marrying Cole, and he rants on and reveals how he will hurt Cole if he even attempts to marry his daughter! Tea turns the tables, and after he leaves, plays what he said on her recorder. She has leverage now! Todd goes to Dorian's and Blair asks him the real reason he gave consent to Starr.

AMC Thursday Recap: A Funeral for Five!

Amanda's Baby Stuff
The baby's "ashes" arrive at Tad's house. Krystal can't understand why Tad isn't acting too sincere about Amanda's baby dying as he avoids telling her the truth! Krystal takes them to Amanda while David is there. Amanda is stunned by the arrival of the urn! David keeps telling Amanda how sorry he is. David tells Amanda maybe if he had seen how happy she, Jake and the baby were, he would have backed off and Amanda yells at him and calls him a liar. Jake and Liza meet at the yacht club, and she keeps bringing up flaws in their plan. Jake suggests she moves back out of town, perhaps with Colby, and Liza refuses, her life is back in PV now! Tad tells Jake that Amanda will never forgive him if she finds out what he's doing! Amanda's baby is given a memorial service with Krystal & David and Jake & Amanda, then Liza shows up. As David is speaking and apologizing, regretting what he is done, Amanda stands up and says this is a sham!

In Other News....
Brot actually proposes to Taylor today at the hospital! Frankie and Randi are nearby and applaude. When Brot has to go tend to work, Taylor is still stunned as she looks at the ring.
JR and Scott both fawn over Marissa today. When Scott has to take care of Chandler business, JR and Marissa go outside and the embrace in a kiss, JR says he has to pick up Lil' A and leave abrputly. Scott is at Chandler when Colby tells him about Liza wanting her to leave town with her. Scott tells her to never push away people you love, they could be taken from you the next day, DA North delivers flowers to Randi today, she tells him they cannot be together, as Frankie walks up. The DA changes the subject and talks about him working with Jesse.
